Meet the artist

Hi, I'm Jun-Yi — the artist behind Portraits by Jun-Yi. I create personalised artwork that celebrates love, connection, and memory. Whether it's through my watercolour portraits or online card designers, everything I make is crafted with care and intention. I come from a design background — nearly 20 years of working with local and global brands — and I've now shifted my focus to people and families, helping them turn personal stories into meaningful keepsakes. I’m a Malaysian now living in the Netherlands, and I have experienced the ups and downs that come with being who I am in the world I'm in. Why I Do This

I love capturing the little things that make people and families unique — a favourite hairstyle, a beloved dog, a shared hobby. These small details tell big stories. Over the years, I’ve painted hundreds of portraits — for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine's, milestones, remembrance, and “just because”. It’s a real joy to see my work become a part of people’s homes and moments.
