Hi, I'm Jun-Yi. I paint people.
I paint portraits of the people and moments we want to hold onto exactly as they are.
I come from a design background of nearly 20 years working with local and global brands. Born and raised in Malaysia, now living in the Netherlands, I know what it means to carry your story somewhere new and to want the people and moments you love to be seen and kept.
I work in watercolour and ink on 100% cold-pressed cotton watercolour paper. The work is highly detailed yet minimalistic and full of charm. I live in Hoorn. I mail everywhere.
How I think about it
My portraits are about capturing the essence of a person and painting the things that make someone feel like themselves.
