I set up in a corner with paper, water and paint, and I paint your guests as the evening happens. People wander over, watch a face appear, and take home something made in the room.
I'm Jun-Yi. I trained as a graphic designer and illustrator, then I started painting people. I've created hundreds of portraits since 2012, and a lot of cards along the way.
I capture the essence of a person in my signature, minimalistic yet highly detailed style. I paint from photographs, but a portrait is also the conversation that comes before. Tell me about the person and what the portrait is for. That's the part that matters.
